Best service in lima. Taxis bag storage before and after our stay, late check out , local information, comfy beds, comfy pillows, lots of hot water, modern , quiet great buffet breakfast, great location, super friendly and professional staff. San isodro has lots of great bars and restaurants and is a posh part of lima , in the financial district. Very safe without police and security than I have ever seen in one area !
Great little hotel in San Isidro, about a 5 minute walk from the main shopping streets in the area. The staff are all kind and welcoming, and can help with all the usual like getting around the city and to the airport. Good English too! The food options are incredible, as to be expected in Lima. There is a small lounge area, but no dedicated bar besides the dining area. A small outdoor area too for smokers.
Overall confortable place but the tv remote had dead batteries and they forgot to clean up the room one day
Great Hotel - Bad Experience!
In my 20 days in Peru this was my worst experience. My Family and I only stayed at this Estelar (San Isidro) for two nights. We booked two rooms which I had no complaints about. However My experience was bad because of a few factors, one was the awful service and lack of attention to details. Every day we had to ask for extra towel and other things that should be provided. I have never been to a hotel that only has things just for one person. Always enough for two, except here.
Another MAJOR factor was the receptionist by name of DIANA. WOW THIS WOMAN WAS RUDE! No exaggeration she was by far the worst person We had to deal with during our vacation. And for no apparent reason! She will stare you down and totally ignore you! Upon arrival at the hotel we said hi at the front desk and she didn’t even bother to answer. She was at the restaurant one morning, we ordered some coffee with her. Couple minutes later l, she served other guests their breakfast and after that she went missing. She said not even a word to us, she simply just left. We had to wait a while for the other server to appear. Which brings me to my other issue.
The other was the fact that we noticed there was a quarantine area on the forth floor for people with Covid. I know some hotel allows that, however the same server who was serving those people was also the same one serving the breakfast. Granted she wore gloves and mask but still that is still very disturbing. A change of clothing and/or hazmat suit would be nice.
Overall The hotel itself is new and nice! The gentleman by the name of Marco was extremely nice and helpful. The area is super chill and by far my favorite area in Lima. I will not return to this Estelar. The Hampton next door will get a shot instead.

It was a satisfactory stay for the price. There were two double beds, so a family of three could sleep comfortably, and although the breakfast didn't have a lot of food, it was well prepared. They were able to store my luggage well and the …
